AN APPROXIMATION TO THE WORK OF TARANEH SJÖSTRÖM
I knew the artist since several years ago when she started to participate in a special exhibition at the Latin American Art Museum in Miami, Florida, open to artists of all over the world.
Her artistic work is a mixture of technical knowledge, creativity and color. She knows what she wants and she mold and creates her paintings.
Taraneh’s works achieve a spiritual resonance. She studies composition and color balance with accurate personal perspective.
Sometimes includes the figure, sometimes goes directly to the abstraction but with a common denominator of quality with a studied palette.
The paintings’ concentrated, simplified, often centralized compositions conjure up a contemplative mood, almost in the manner of great masters, with emblematic forms.
My impression is on an artist at the height of her powers even if she is maybe in the middle of her artistic career.
